HVAC Operations Program Manager

Johnson Controls Inc. is looking for forward-thinking talent to join our growing organization to support the fast-growing Data Center market. You will be part of a new centralized team supporting Data Center customers in North America.

Under general direction of the Branch Service Manager or Director, you will manage all administrative aspects of this program for the North America Data Center Team under the HVAC Service Operations organization from start to finish. As the Service Operations Program Manager, you will provide support and direction to JCI equipment sales and local service Branch operations partners dedicated to service data centers and other vertical customers.

Requires knowledge of program management techniques. Use of analytical skills with an ability to apply a balanced understanding of all business elements. Effective communication with varying levels within the organization. Requires knowledge of business plans, strategies, and technology skills.

How you will do it

  • Gain functional understanding and use of HVAC field service tools, processes, and software.  

  • Will maintain manpower work schedule for a team of 20 technicians using HVAC tools and MS Projects.

  • Support the delivery of onboarding and training for Technician positions.  This includes, Training, Phones, PC’s, Uniforms, Vehicles, etc. Establishes training schedule and processes, drives deployment to technicians on the team and provides support and guidance to keep them functional and successful. 

  • Become proficient in a variety of available training tools and utilize as appropriate to develop and deliver training. Collaborate with and support the Branch Service Manager and/or Director supporting data center and all other customers.  

  • Assist with the development and delivery of communication plans to the HVAC Data Center Team, HVAC Equipment Sales Team and HVAC field service operations organization related to schedules, manpower, Voice of Customer, escalations, warranty.

  • Manage cost, create PO’s, Pay Vendors, transfer team hours and manage collections of the team under the direction of the Branch Service Manager and/or Director.

  • Communicate with peers and all levels of management as needed to gather and document functional requirements; interact with technical business analysts to facilitate application technical design and development in alignment with requirements.

  • Directly lead and support field calls at all levels of the organization; coordinate with other team members and departments to provide overall support and guidance to business enhancements and expectations.

  • Performs other job-related duties as requested.
