Description
About DaviesAt Davies, we don’t just manage claims, we build partnerships that move businesses forward. We’re a fast-growing, global firm that blends technology, expertise, and innovation to help organizations navigate risk and deliver better outcomes. In North America, we’re expanding our presence across both Workers’ Compensation and Liability administration, and we’re looking for a Business Development Leader who’s ready to help us write that next chapter. The RoleThis isn’t a legacy sales role. We’re looking for a builder, someone who knows how to open doors, connect dots, and make things happen. You’ll represent Davies’ full Claims & Risk Solutions platform, from TPA services to managed care and ancillary programs, helping clients solve problems, not just check boxes. You’ll partner directly with the President and senior leadership team to grow our North American footprint, build relationships that last, and strengthen how Davies shows up in the market.
Why Davies You’ll join a global business with the autonomy and entrepreneurial space of a startup. You’ll have direct access to leadership, a seat at the strategy table, and the chance to shape Davies’ North American identity as we grow. If you’re the kind of person who runs toward opportunity, thrives in motion, and builds momentum wherever you go, this is your kind of role.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategies to grow Davies’ Workers’ Compensation and Liability administration, managed care and ancillary business.
- Leverage strong relationships with insureds, brokers, carriers, and program administrators to create new opportunities.
- Build Davies’ market presence, speak on industry panels, contribute to thought-leadership papers, and represent our brand actively.
- Partner closely with operations and marketing teams to align messaging, delivery, and brand.
- Identify and cross-sell opportunities across Davies’ suite of services, including managed care, audits, risk consulting, and data analytics.
- Stay plugged into market trends, client needs, and emerging opportunities to shape future growth.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and internal partners, ensuring what’s promised in the pitch is delivered in the service.
- Represent Davies’ values: we are dynamic, innovative, connected, and we succeed together.
Skills, knowledge & expertise
- Proven success driving growth within a TPA, carrier, or brokerage, across Workers’ Compensation, Liability, or related claims services.
- Genuine industry relationships and the credibility to open doors and build trust.
- Curiosity and hustle, you ask questions, find opportunities, and move fast.
- Strong understanding of claims operations and client experience.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both in person and online.
- Comfort leading conversations at the C-suite level and within complex buying environments.
- A willingness to travel, connect face-to-face, and be visible in the market.
- A mindset that’s collaborative, competitive, and forward-looking, driven to build new relationships, not just reply on the old ones.
- A mindset that is energized by creating opportunities, not maintaining the status quo.
- A mindset that is entrepreneurial and growth oriented, focused on building what’s next, not living off what’s been done.
