Job Overview

Plan, manage, and direct daily parking operations for one or more service area within parking services.

Essential Functions

• Manage the administrative activities of a service unit within parking services in which decisions and quality of execution have significant impact on internal and external relations.
• Develop long-range plans and strategies to achieve unit, department, university goals for areas of responsibility, monitors and achieves established goals.
• Recommend, implement, and interpret internal parking rules, policies, procedures, controls, and manage processes to advance service levels; develop and implement responsive service programs.
• Attend meetings on behalf of the director; consult with director on major policy changes affecting other departments; authority to grant exceptions; may function for the Director in his/her absence, as required.
• Develop, implement and monitor assigned budgets; authority for function budget, revenue and expense planning and approving expenditure; delegated signature authority for programs or functions within department or center.
• Responsible for establishing collaborating efforts with administrative and academic units; serve as administrative liaison for internal and external business partners and community visitors.
• Supervise the Field Services and Service Center areas. Oversee Fifth Third Arena cleaning and the Golf Cart/Gem Car Rental Program.
• May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.). 
• Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.

Required Education

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Nine (9) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.

Required Experience

• Five (5) years of relevant experience. 
• Supervision experience.
