WORKING IN CORPORATE INTELLIGENCE AT S-RM

Every day, we’re asked by some of the world’s most prominent companies to research the backgrounds of those they’d like to do business with, respond to bespoke questions, and support our clients with intelligence as part of contentious disputes.

We use the latest research techniques and tools to investigate how companies and individuals do business in today’s world. It’s our job to find the evidence, analyze whether it’s true, and put it in context to help our clients understand its importance.

THE ROLE

As an Associate, you’ll play a vital role in the development of S-RM’s growing Corporate Intelligence team. Associates work closely with our clients to understand their challenges, innovate solutions, and deliver findings. Our aim is to become trusted advisors to our clients.

Associates are skilled research analysts, case managers and people managers, as well as consultants. As a practitioner within S-RM, you will have the opportunity to develop junior colleagues, ensure world-class client service, and delivery of high-quality intelligence and analysis.

The successful candidate will report to the Washington-based Associate Director and will work across the full spectrum of the Corporate Intelligence practice.

 

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We think candidates who are able to work and experience are likely to succeed as Corporate Intelligence Senior Analysts at S-RM.

We’re looking for the following experience and qualifications:

 

• An accredited degree, military service, or demonstrable equivalent experience;
• Demonstrable expertise in US public record research and retrieval (e.g. civil and criminal proceedings, property records, bankruptcies, corporate and regulatory filings, etc.), commercial investigative databases (e.g. Westlaw, LexisNexis, Factiva, PACER, etc.), and common OSINT tools.
  • Working knowledge of public records in North, Central and South America as well as the Caribbean, and experience  working in more complex and subjective research tasks. 
• Practical experience in independently identifying adverse issues and their relevance, evaluating sources, and ensuring completeness and accuracy of public records research;
• Working client service experience including independently responding to requests and issues, drafting proposals of varying complexities, and presentation of findings;
• Proven ability to effectively plan, staff, and manage projects of varying complexities within budget and timelines; 
• Working experience in providing feedback and guidance, and being accountab
