If you share our clear vision to drive the transition to a low-carbon future, then this could be the job for you. We are currently seeking a Supervisor Engineer, reporting directly to the hiring manager to join our Electrical/Instrumentation and Control team based in Houston, Texas, USA.

 

Produces and/or supports the development of all types of Instrumentation and Control systems deliverables on a project, including P&IDs; field instrument specifications, datasheets, and requisitions;  control systems specs, datasheets, and requisitions (including DCS, SIS, Fire & Gas, PLC, etc.); analyzer and analyzer shelter specs, datasheets, and requisitions; flowmeter and control valve sizing calculations; design drawings including wiring diagrams, location plans, installation details, loop diagrams, panel drawings, Remote Instrument Building layouts.

• Lead a Team of Instrumentation and Controls Engineers and Designers on PDP, FEED and Detail Engineering Projects
• Develops project scope of work for Instrumentation and Controls engineering and design
• Monitors and advises Department Manager of major project changes 
• Prepares detail design schedule milestones, staff loading schedules and man-hour estimates for engineering and design tasks
• Reports progress, updates schedules, manages staffing needs and hourly budget
• Establishes engineering and design concepts and data for scope assigned to group and assures technical accuracy and conformance to project requirements 
• Prepares project scope deviations documentation as required 
• Researches suitable solutions, estimated cost and timescales 
• Trains less experienced engineers and designers
• Reviews vendor documents 
• Independently evaluates the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria and systems to efficiently meet project objectives 
• Applies standard engineering design tasks and exhibits a working knowledge of applicable codes 
• Plans, schedules, and coordinates detailed phases of work 
• Reviews and generates design data and/or deliverables from various inputs 
• Performs the more sophisticated and complicated designs in accordance with established company standards 
• Coordinates details and miscellaneous design criteria with other disciplines 
• Supervises, checks and assists other Instrumentation and Control System  personnel in their assignments 
• Prepares and /or supervises and checks documents and drawings as required 
• Manages all Instrumentation and Control Systems personnel on the team including Workshare Office Project Team Members

Qualifications:

• 20 plus years in LNG, Energy Transition, Carbon Capture, Refining and/or Petrochemical Plant Engineering/Design
• BSEE, MSME or BSChemE
• PE License with the ability to acquire PE License in multiple states is preferred
