We are actively looking for a Transportation Engineer to join our Atlanta office. As part of the Transportation Group, the Senior Engineer manages a variety of projects – bridge, roadway, municipal, port, or rail design projects and develop plans for projects across the state, US and potentially internationally. The ideal new hire will be familiar with a variety of civil and structural engineering type projects, has permitting experience and a strong existing professional network with municipal, GADOT and/or regulatory agency staff.

Duties and responsibilities:

- Lead a multi-disciplinary team of designers, engineers, and professionals to successfully deliver project plans, specifications, reports, and other design related materials
- Identify marketing opportunities, engage perspective clients, and assist with the preparation of proposal packages
- Maintain and establish working relationships with regulatory agencies, local government agencies, cities, Caltrans, as well as private clients
- Participate in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost and scheduling performance
- Develop specifications, project schedules, cost estimates, and prepare final bid packages
- Interact with our contractor clients, teaming partners, and owners to ensure design deliverables are aligned with construction schedules and expectations
- Guide subconsultants or teaming partners in project approach, processes, and design
- Coordinate design activities and meetings between design staff, subcontractors, and client managers

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; Specialty in Transportation Engineering preferred
- Master's degree in Civil or Transportation degree; preferred
- 15 years of experience working on transportation engineer projects; required
- Professional Engineer licensure in GA or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire through reciprocity; required
- AutoCAD and MicroStation experience are preferred
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
- Availability and willingness to travel
- All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171

Working conditions:
Sedentary for prolonged period of time, interact with clients, and travel occasionally.
