Accounts Payable/ Accounting Clerk

Job Summary:

 The Accounts Payable role aims to optimize financial transactions and systems, ensuring timely payments to vendors to foster strong relationships. Responsibilities include streamlining processes, maintaining integrity in financial reporting, and adhering to national and local financial regulations. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring compliance while upholding confidentiality and accuracy in financial transactions. 

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment
• Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry
• Execute credit card and bank account reconciliation
• Generate purchase orders when necessary
• Obtain and print signatures on all checks
• Assist senior financial officers as needed

Schedule: Day Shift - Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Pay Starting At: $23-27/hr depending on experience

Requirements

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong mathematical ability
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Adherence to laws and confidentiality guidelines
• Working knowledge of relevant software (e.g. Quickbooks) preferred

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• Proven experience as accounting clerk or general accounting experience
• Further related education a plus

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
