We are now looking for our new colleague for the position as Senior Data Engineer in HR Analytics at one of our offices in Berlin, Hamburg, Stockholm, Amsterdam or Katowice .
We offer an exciting opportunity for a Senior Data Engineer to build solutions that have a direct impact on the Human Resource function of Vattenfall like recruitment, Health & Safety, employee attrition, cross-skilling and up-skilling, reimbursement and identification of high-potentials to take a leading role in paving the way for Vattenfall and its customers and partners towards a fossil free future.
What will you do
Within the team, the Senior Data Engineer is a front runner who is in continuous dialogue with the experts and solution designers in Vattenfall’s various departments to build, maintain and optimize state of the art analytics solutions
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- As a Scrum team member you will develop and maintain an Enterprise Data Warehouse together with architects, requirement engineers, data engineers, data scientists and business specialists
- Consult our customers inside the business departments of Vattenfall and reach a high processes understanding in the energy and HR sector
- As a receiver of the HR data you work with the teams delivering within SAP and other HR systems
- Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our analytics systems
- Support in creating and improving functional and technical design of current and existing solutions
- Create technical specification
- Identify data quality gaps and improve data quality with your developments
- Pin-point data quality gaps and develop a plan to close those gaps
- Design and build ETL processes
- Prepare and perform go-live activities and create application documentation and hand-over deliveries and maintain close contact with a maintenance team
- Implement traditional database & DWH concepts to structure the data in the cloud, on-premise and hybrid to provide self-service reporting solutions in Power BI

The IT & HR Analytics and Planning Solutions team, part of Vattenfall IT, has members in the Vattenfall offices in Katowice, Amsterdam, Berlin, Hamburg and Stockholm.

- Experience in requirements gathering and writing Functional and Technical designs
Next to this you bring:
- Advanced knowledge of data warehousing principles and build processes supporting data transformation, data structures, metadata, dependency and workload management
- Experience in troubleshooting and maintenance production issues, process chains, and ETL
- At least 5-7 years of working experience with Analytics & BI tools and services, preferably in the Microsoft stack like Azure SQL, Data
