About the role

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for performing nuclear medicine procedures at a technical level without direct supervision. This role monitors procedures to ensure efficiency and accuracy, develops and updates protocols, trains staff, and ensures compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. You’ll work in a supportive, well-equipped environment with strong team collaboration and a focus on employee engagement.

Job Duties:

  • Produce nuclear medicine scans
  • Position and transfer patients; provide immobilization devices as required
  • Select and operate equipment and proper technical factors on an individual basis
  • Present and archive studies in PACS
  • Provide patient and employee radiation protection in accordance with prescribed standards
  • Assist physicians in the preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals
  • Administer radioactive material under physician supervision
  • Perform organ imaging, function studies, bone scans, and other nuclear medicine procedures
  • Perform equipment calibration tests and radionuclide assay operations
  • Demonstrate competency in performing procedures on all patient populations served
  • Complete administrative responsibilities

Shift Length:

  • 8-hour shifts
  • Flexible – could be (4) 9-hour shifts

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Graduate of an approved nuclear medicine training program
  • Registered or registry-eligible with NMTCB or ARRT(N)
  • Recommended professional associations
  • Ability to read, write, and speak the English language
