Practice Supervisor-General Surgery & OB/GYN

Responsibilities

• Directs and coordinates activities of the nursing and clerical staff to carry out its objectives. 
• Is responsible for the application and implementation of established policies. 
• Supervises nursing, triage, schedulers, clinical secretary and quality review/medical records. 
• Maintains and orders nursing supplies. 
• Manages various functions of the department including hiring, evaluations, scheduling and covering areas as needed. 
• Responsible for payroll calculation and verification.

Qualifications

• Must have the ability to deal effectively with a variety of people
• Work requires excellence in computer knowledge, organized, structured, and  responsible  
• Promotes cooperation, team work and direction to maximize efficient patient care    
• Ability to facilitate and coordinate activities of employees
• Must demonstrate good communication skills and the ability to problem solve
• Requires the ability to work flexible hours when needed and have transportation
• This level of education is normally acquired through completion of a high school education and technical management training
• 3 years of experience in a similar role and environment is preferred
