Job Description

  • Support the Senior Accounting Manager for all accounting, audit, tax, and financial systems for the Switzerland and the US entities.
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and year end close processes; prepare and review the assigned monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support the funding for payroll, accounts payable to ensure all payments are made on a timely basis.
  • Support the annual audit of consolidated financial statements under US GAAP and statutory audit of legal entities.
  • Manage the statutory and tax reporting to ensure they are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Guide and ensure compliance of global policies and statutory requirements related to financial reporting.
  • Responsible for proper procedures, policies and controls being in place in order to maintain strong internal controls and continuous education of team members to ensure compliance with these requirements.
  • Responsible financial reporting, preparation of financial statements, pension accounting, stock-based compensation, equity accounting, M&As, and other corporate accounting and technical accounting efforts.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and system optimization for IPO readiness.
  • Assist in ad-hoc projects for the controlling department whenever needed.

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience in a global complex environment.
  • Minimum of 1 years in people management.
  • NetSuite (Oracle) experience highly preferred.
  • Technology savvy with advanced knowledge of accounting and reporting software
  • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Fluent in English 
  • Experience with US GAAP and working for a publicly traded company preferred.
  • Hands on, detail-oriented, organized and structured. Can step up to be a reviewer and step in to be a preparer whenever needed.
