Entegris is currently seeking a talented and motivated Manufacturing Technician to join its Gas Operations production team in Danbury, CT.  This person would work as a key member of a small specialty gas cylinder build production team and also be a contributor to a larger operations group.  The person in this role would report directly to the Production Supervisor.  Danbury Specialty Gas Operations is a dynamic and often fast paced environment where safety is paramount.  The ideal candidate for this role would be someone who enjoys being part of a strong team, is dedicated to continuous improvement, and has some experience safely working with hazardous materials, while maintaining a focus on meeting and exceeding production goals.

 

In this role you will:

• Support new cylinder manufacturing and quality checks.
• Support inspection and test of subcomponents and assemblies.
• Support return cylinder refurbishment and processing and cylinder requalification.
• The person in this role must train and become proficient in all aspects of new cylinder builds and cylinder refurbishment.
• Success in this role means meeting and exceeding production demand.
• This person must demonstrate a dedication to safety excellence.

 

Traits we believe make a strong candidate:

• Manufacturing background, experience processing and completing work orders per a production schedule.
• Experience safely working with hazardous materials, using PPE.
• Safely operate inert gas manifolds, ovens, media blasters Helium detection equipment, hand and power tools.
• Accurately measure and record values based on gauges and other measuring instruments.
• Perform pre and post assembly safety and quality checks.
• Segregating and documenting Non-Conforming Material.
• Clean and maintain equipment and work areas (5S).
• Good time management, communication skills and attention to detail.
• Experienced with SAP, Microsoft office.
• The person in this role will be part of a small high functioning production team.  Collaboration and communication are vital to the success in this position.
• Production schedules for our products are aggressive and reliant on all team members.  This person must be someone who can be counted on to ensure that production runs smoothly.
