NATURE & SCOPE:

The essential job functions of the Utility are to assist in supporting the grinding operations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists in line set up prior to start-up, takes care of the trash, dumping bags, box meat, and spices, washes combos, assists in the department clean up and keeps work area clean. Observes Tyson/USDA safety and sanitation rules, utilizes proper lifting techniques to avoid injury to themselves and others, wears appropriate personal protective equipment, operates pallet jack and performs other duties as required or assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The successful candidate(s) must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.

• Requires ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• perform routine repetitive tasks, read weights and scales, sufficient mathematical ability to perform mathematical calculations, plot data and make statistically based decisions.
• physical abilities to vertically move product weighing 5 lbs. from 33" to 9", 33" to 53", 29" to 12", 29" to 53", 12" to 35", 55" to 35", 33" to 46" constantly, 3 lbs. from 8" to 45" constantly, 20 lbs. from 4" to 36" and horizontally a distance of 5' occasionally.
• to horizontally move objects exerting forces of 10 lbs.
• frequently, exert grip forces of 17 lbs., frequently lifting 50 to 75 pounds, occasionally lift 100 pounds.
• stand continuously and walk up to ½ mile during the shift, sufficient near, far, color and depth perception vision to perform operations and work in extremes of temperature and be certified  to operate a pallet jack .
• Must have 3 months consecutive work history.
