The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seek a Radiologist to join the Department of Radiology. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience.
Position Overview
The Diagnostic Radiology Program Director oversees all residents and resident-directed educational activities for the Diagnostic Radiology Residency (DR) and works closely with the Interventional Radiology (IR) Program Director in oversight of the IR residents during their first three years in that program. Reporting to the Department Chair, the Program Director works directly with Departmental leadership and the Associate Dean of Graduate Medical Education (GME) within the College of Medicine to execute strategic growth of our educational mission, including the development of innovative learning opportunities and models for our residents. They will also work closely with the Vice Chair of Education to ensure optimal collaboration and experience for all faculty and staff. The Program Director is supported by a team with staff members fully dedicated to the educational programs of the Department.
Department/Division Overview
The Ohio State University Department of Radiology is experiencing significant growth across its research, education, and clinical missions, positioning it as a national leader in imaging innovation and care delivery. The Center for Imaging Excellence (CIE) serves as a cornerstone of this advancement, bringing together multidisciplinary teams to accelerate translational research in MRI, CT, and PET imaging. With an expanding focus on artificial intelligence—supported by Ohio State’s designation as an ACR Recognized Center for Healthcare-AI (ARCH-AI)—as well as theranostics and advanced imaging technologies, and ongoing renovations to support state-of-the-art infrastructure and collaborative team science, the CIE is strengthening its role in discovery, education, and training the next generation of imaging scientists.
The department continues to strengthen its educational programs through a comprehensive portfolio of residencies and subspecialty fellowships, supporting a diverse pathway for trainees and reinforcing its commitment to excellence in graduate medical education across diagnostic and interventional radiology.
Clinically, Radiology is rapidly expanding to meet growing patient demand and support the Wexner Medical Center’s Impact 2035 strategic vision. This includes major investments in new and renovated facilities, such as the recently opened 820-bed inpatient hospital tower, a biomedical research tower, and the Interdisciplinary Health Sciences Center. In parallel, the department is extending its reach through new ambulatory care centers in New Albany, Dublin, and Powell, alongside established imaging sites across the region—enhancing access, capacity, and the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered imaging services.

• Lead the educational mission of the training program ensuring appropriate trainee milestone advancement, oversight of the faculty teaching / role modeling, assigning teaching faculty to provide high quality resident education.
