What you will do
Our Experienced Staff Accountant plays a key role in delivering high-quality financial and tax services to a broad range of clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting, including at least 2 years of experience preparing tax returns or working with financial statements. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and is ready to take ownership of their assigned work. Leverage the ability to independently complete intermediate assignments, and contribute to more complex projects with guidance, while growing toward a Senior Accountant role. You’ll work closely with senior team members and clients, applying your accounting expertise to prepare financial statements, perform adjustments, and complete individual tax returns. - Prepare and adjust financial statements for clients on a monthly, quarterly, or annual basis.
- Perform journal entries, reconciliations, and other general ledger functions.
- Prepare basic individual tax returns and support more complex tax filings.
- Maintain accurate and organized workpapers free of clerical and mathematical errors.
- Prepare basic tax planning reports and support team members on more complex tax planning projects.
- Prepare basic government agency responses and support more complex government agency responses.
- Collaborate with senior staff, supervisors, and managers to complete complex assignments.
- Communicate directly with clients to gather information and provide updates.
- Assist in all aspects of client engagements, including planning, execution, and finalizing.
- Demonstrate growing ownership of assigned engagements and meet all deadlines.
- Stay current with accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, CCH Axcess, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- As part of our compliance program, all team members are required to follow industry leading data and system security practices.

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 2–4 years of full-time accounting experience.
