Summary:
The Circulation Marketing Associate is responsible for supporting the effective operation of direct mail marketing including catalogs and direct mail (postcards, flyers) across multiple business units. This role must understand our target audiences and be able to perform a thorough analysis of the results with the ability to plan future campaigns based on results. This role coordinates with internal IT teams, merchandising professionals, design team members, customer service, procurement, fulfillment, and internal marketing team to create efficient and profitable marketing strategies to drive overall customer acquisition, retention that meet stated revenue and profit goals. The Circulation Marketing Associate will have impeccable attention to detail, be able to perform independently and adhere to deadlines. Candidates must be logical thinkers who are able to multi-task and work under pressure.

The Circulation Marketing Associate will support our 5 business units, and will participate in a variety of marketing, advertising and promotional planning and execution activities. This role must possess strong organizational and planning skills, as well as analytical experience to provide support to our team in the following marketing activities:
- Plans, selects, and executes direct mail marketing initiatives.
- Coordinates with other marketing team members as well as design, merchandising, IT, procurement, and retail teams on daily responsibilities as well as assigned projects.
- Coordinates with 3rd party vendors to execute printing and management of paper for direct mail programs.
- Reports and analyzes results of promotional activity across channels and business units.
- Ensures channels are pacing appropriately based on budgets and stated revenue and profit goals.
- Monitors and reports on competitor activity as well as stays abreast of best-in-class direct mail principles.
- Support marketing department processes, analysis, reporting and projects.
- Monitors USPS promotions and ensures the business takes advantage of relevant promotions for savings.
- Circulation plans
- Lead circulation planning and budgeting.
- Develop and analyze segmentation including prospecting for catalog and fulfillment promotions across multiple business units.
- Select lists and output to vendor for Merge/Purge processing.
- Manage, review and approve Merge/Purge process and reports.
- Review and approve inkjet sample checks from print vendor.
- Works with tools and data developed by the internal analytics team to plan successful mailing campaigns.

- Calculate cost per page.
- Run reports, mark catalogs, and maintain historical data.
- Track competitive activity and industry trends.

- Pre-drop Catalog Checks – Review all catalogs to ensure consistency with web site content. Work with appropriate groups to make extremely time-sensitive amendments to ensure accuracy before catalog in-home dates. Issue discrepancy reporting and confirm resolution of issues.

Your areas of knowledge and expertise (that matter the most for this role):
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, data analytics or relevant experience.
- Highly organized with strong organizational and planning skills.
- Able to prioritize and execute multiple projects simultaneously, while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with team members, as well as other individuals at various levels within the organization.
- Analytically minded.
- Must have strong time management skills.
