About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team. In this role, you will support a wide range of HR functions and play a vital part in fostering a positive, compliant, and high-performing workplace. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, you will be responsible for managing critical administrative processes, supporting employee relations, and ensuring HR policies are implemented effectively and consistently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately process all employee documentation, including background checks, references, and onboarding paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and issue official HR documents such as offer letters, disciplinary notices, salary changes, and termination letters.
  • Manage employee relations by addressing grievances, supporting disciplinary actions, and upholding company policies.
  • Conduct onboarding sessions and coordinate training and development initiatives; educate new hires on internal policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a liaison with the corporate office when necessary.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees on HR-related matters, including leaves of absence, benefits, and compensation.
  • Foster a professional and collaborative work environment by promoting HR initiatives and conflict resolution.
  • Support performance management processes, including tracking and organizing initial and annual employee reviews.
  • Maintain accurate and complete employee records, both electronic and physical, ensuring compliance with regulatory and retention requirements.
  • Work to enhance job satisfaction and retention by proactively resolving issues and modeling professional behavior.
  • Stay up to date with employment laws and HR best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Prepare weekly HR reports with relevant metrics and updates for senior management.
  • Perform other HR-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Ideal Candidate will have: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience as an HR Generalist or Recruiter.
  • Strong understanding of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Working knowledge of New Jersey employment and labor laws.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HRIS platforms such as Paycom is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
  • Bilingual proficiency is a plus but not required.
