At the Humana Enterprise Architecture unit, our mission is to deliver a perfect member experience by bringing forth the alignment of business strategy to technology strategy, enabling the effective and efficient execution of the technology strategy and to facilitate the adoption and delivery of the Humana Enterprise Architecture principles, standards, policies and methodologies.
As a Senior Enterprise Architect, you play a pivotal role in the alignment of the business vision, technology strategy and framing enterprise standards. You will be an integral part of the delivery of critical business outcomes, as well as the creation of technology strategies to leverage the IT. Additionally, as a Senior Enterprise Architect, you will provide mentorship and guidance to other enterprise, solution, technology, and system architects across Humana.
- Serve as a strong advocate for the business within IT and ensure that technology execution aligns with business strategy.
- Help achieve value-driven outcomes by ensuring Humana’s Technology Strategy is executed in alignment with corporate vision and segment business strategies.
- Engage in enterprise technology modernization initiatives working with the application teams and key business and IT stakeholders and help deliver value through architecture guidance and execution support.
- Mentor pattern-based development with a strong focus on resource & cost optimization.
- Serve as an evangelist for, facilitate and drive adoption and delivery of the lean enterprise architecture practice within an agile delivery framework.
- Collaborate with business and technical teams and leadership to align and map the business vision and strategy to value streams, business capabilities and business functions.
- Collaborate with segment and domain architects, engineers, and leadership to document the current state architecture, value streams and domain capability models.
- Apply portfolio rationalization to map and document the coverage between Value Streams, Business Capabilities, and Technology Capabilities and identify opportunities for innovation, as well as reduction in risk, complexity, and total cost of operations.
- Collaborate with technical teams and leadership to define and maintain technology strategies, including intermediate and end state architectures, to align the technology portfolio to deliver the opportunities identified in the technology portfolio rationalization and the business value defined by the business vision and strategy.
- Lead Application modernization initiatives including rearchitecting legacy mainframe, stand-alone and web-based applications to value driven enterprise architecture standards.
- Enable continued innovation and evolution of the cloud everything-as-a-service including IaaS, PaaS, SaaS platforms in collaboration with Segment teams and other Enterprise Shared Services Teams.
- Maintain standards & policies including revalidating them based on latest trends & best practices and socializing it with user friendly documentation.
- Create Cost Models/Dashboards for applications based on resource utilization, licensing cost and help application teams determine the TCO and plan for future needs.
- Evaluate new technologies/platforms for continuous improvement of our assets and develop architecture standards to leverage them.
- Choose and adeptly use appropriate cloud services, technologies, tools, methodologies and solutions to make sure that the architecture is robust, integrated and aligned with the strategy and long-term objectives of the organization.
- Mentor the application teams with enterprise data use standards and help them solve non-functional needs like logging, auditing, and end-to-end observability.
- Support application teams through various enterprise governance process and provide “white glove” support to ensure successful implementation.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Progressive experience as a senior application and/or solution architect or technical lead in large company spanning multiple enterprise systems.
- 10 or more years design, development, and testing of software applications.
- Expertise in all SDLC activities including ideation, design, implementation, validating functional and non-functional aspects, and Day2 op
