Job Description

Scope:  The Senior Financial Analyst supports the preparation and presentation of financial results of projects and to the business leadership to ensure attainment of financial & operational objectives.. Monitors financial and schedule performance of the company and gives feedback to the company regarding opportunities to improve effectiveness.

Responsibilities & Tasks:

• Monthly & Quarterly income statement reporting of financial results to US parent and internal on-site management team.
• Coordinate with operational functions to create annual budget
• Present annual budget to US parent and internal on-site management team for approval
• Completion of annual overhead rate forecast for all functional and site pools
• Completion of Overhead rate monitoring monthly, including coordination with function to identify difference drivers
• Coordination of monthly & quarterly Financial reporting package submission to parent company.
• Prepare monthly & quarterly variance analysis of US site financial performance.
• Consolidate monthly & quarterly forecasts of financial results for ElbitAmerica.
• Ownership of Depm project module for profit rate uploads, backlog reporting and system revenue recognition
• Monitoring of project filters in LN with communications to functions to drive accurate disaggregation reporting
• Special projects as requested and assigned.

Consulting Relationships:

• Business Unit Finance Managers
• Functional Managers including Engineering, Supply Chain and Manufacturing Leads
• US Parent Representatives including CFO/CAO
• Accounting leadership including Controller/Assistant Controller

Outside Business Relationships:

• External auditors.
• DCAA and DCMA auditors
• Parent company ESL Financial Managers and staff.

Qualifications

Education (Highest Level Required/Preferred):

• Bachelor’s degree required (5-10 Years exp may substitute)
• Preferred major fields: Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Statistics.

Experience Required:

• 5-10+ years of business finance or other relevant experience

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Required :

• Excellent communications (oral and written)
• Proficient command of English
• Strong quantitative and analytical competency
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (FASB) and their application.
• Strong ability to utilize an automated accounting system; previous accounting system implementation experience considered a plus.
• MS Office application proficiency needed; especially with PowerPoint presentations.
• Self-starter with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills
• Advanced knowledge of Excel
• Ability to streamline functions and passion to learn and grow
• Ability to work independently
• Excellent communication and presentation skills; be comfortable interacting with executive-level management
• Strong financial modeling experience
• Experience in the following areas is considered as desirable:
  • Revenue Recognition
  • Government Compliance
