As a Creative Assistant (Home) based at our Leighton Buzzard studio, you’ll be a pivotal member of our Photo Studio team, working as one to deliver the high-quality imagery our customers love. Specialising in our Home Still Life Cutout Channel, you’ll make a real difference by ensuring every project runs seamlessly - from preparing products to assisting with technical setups. You’ll collaborate closely with a fantastic team of photographers and stylists, receiving all the support you need to kickstart your creative journey. We’ll help you get started with hands-on training for specialised tasks like light fixture fitting and cove maintenance, ensuring you’re confident and ready to grow into a future stylist or photographer role.
What you’ll take on
- Support on-set operations for Home cutouts, assisting with up to 8 sets per day to ensure efficient shoot execution.
- Manage and organise products across all photography sets, ensuring all items are correctly prepped and have the necessary paperwork attached.
- Take an active role in technical and physical prep, including building furniture, moving heavy equipment, and setting up lighting ahead of shoots.
- Contribute to the creative presentation of products by assisting with styling for smaller cutout jobs and maintaining our studio cove system.
- Maintain accurate shoot documentation and image records within our digital workflows to support administrative processes.
- Work flexibly across other studios or on location as required, responding to changing priorities with a proactive, can-do attitude.
What you’ll bring
- A genuine passion for homeware, interiors, and e-commerce photography, along with a portfolio that showcases your current interests and skills.
- Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with the confidence to stay calm and professional in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- A collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills, making you a great team player who can take direction well while using your own initiative.
- Physical fitness and comfort with a hands-on workload, including regularly lifting and maneuvering heavy furniture and equipment.
- A keen eye for detail and accuracy, particularly when it comes to the presentation of soft furnishings and product details.
- A proactive approach to learning, with proficiency in Google Workspace and Mac OS; any familiarity with Capture One or Lightroom is a bonus.
- A full UK driving licence
