Inventory Assistant

Description

The Inventory Assistant role is essential for maintaining accurate inventory levels while efficiently fulfilling orders in a warehouse or distribution environment. This position requires an individual to carefully pick and prepare customer orders, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. Additionally, the role involves conducting regular cycle counts, verifying inventory accuracy, and assisting in stock audits to identify and resolve discrepancies. The Inventory Assistant employee will collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations, safety, and inventory management, contributing to the overall efficiency and success of the warehouse. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently are crucial to success in this role.

Requirements

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist team in ensuring parts department is clean and organized.
• Assist the service department by moving equipment as needed and deliver fleet vehicles to repair facilities.
• Pick up and/or deliver parts to designated accounts when instructed by parts and service departments.
• Assist with the cleanliness of the parts area by disposing of used boxes, trash, sweeping floor and dusting parts bins daily.
• Assist in keeping the shop organized.
• Assists in moving and restructuring organization of stockroom to make space for new inventory.
• Run bin “spot checks” as directed.
• Pulling and group orders for Service Road Team
• Putting away stock item and updating bin locations
• Cycling count and reporting discrepancies

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience
• Demonstrates strong organizational skills.
• Pays close attention to detail.
• Possesses physical strength necessary to lift boxes and other heavy items on a regular basis.
• Ability to operate various types of materials handling equipment including hand trucks, pallet jacks, standard forklifts, and order-picker forklifts when needed.
• Strong reading and communication skills.
• Must have a clean driving record
• Must have a current drivers license
