Lead Usher- On Call

The Lead Usher will be responsible for assisting the Box Office Supervisor in daily operation of assigned events, including supervision of box office staff.

Position Responsibilities

• Sells tickets for upcoming entertainment events
• Offers suggestions, and provides descriptive information pertaining to entertainment events
• Discusses time preferences, seating arrangements and rates with customers to make proper sale of entertainment tickets
• Responsible for the issuance of reserved tickets to guest
• Work in partnership with reservations, entertainment and casino marketing to ensure superior guest service
• Assists with preparation of Department work schedules
• Ensures proper service to all guests through effective leadership of usher and box office staff
• Effectively handles any situation concerning guest and employees, resolution of disputes, seating requirements and other matters pertaining to the satisfaction of the customer
• Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned

Essential Functions

• Exposure to casino related environmental factors including but not limited to secondhand smoke, excessive noise and hectic environments.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
• Must be able to stand for an entire shift and be able to move throughout the hotel area
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends and flexible shift hours
• Must have ability to sit and work from a computer for extended periods
• Must have manual dexterity to allow for inputting of data into computer software and be capable of viewing computer monitors for extended periods of time

Requirements

• Box Office experience or equivalent hotel /casino experienced preferred
• High school diploma or GED
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Must be customer service oriented
• Ability to effectively communicate in English (Read, Write, Speak & Understand)
