Registered Nurse- Labor and Delivery

The Labor and Delivery RNCC is a professional care giver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the therapeutic environment, treatment/modalities and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Licensure/Certification: Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee or compact state. BLS required. NRP required within 90 days Note: Employees hired without previous labor and delivery experience will be expected to complete a basic fetal monitoring course prior to the end of orientation. STABLE encouraged.
Experience/Knowledge: Must be able to demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development necessary for assessment, range of treatment and care of patients ranging from adolescence through adulthood, including the newborn infant.
