About the Team:

The Product Design department is a distributed team responsible for crafting the design and user experience of the Crunchyroll video streaming service. Our work encompasses the new Crunchyroll website, the mobile apps, and the TV experiences. Our mission is to provide a delightful and engaging user experience for lovers of anime and manga content everywhere.

As a partner to business, product, and engineering groups, we collaborate with teams across the company to identify the right problems and ensure that our solutions satisfy the goals of both the business and the end-user.

About the Role:

As a Senior Product Designer on the Service Monetization team, you will be responsible for a variety of user experiences, focusing on growing our subscriber base and improving usability across the sign-up experience. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and marketers, to define design strategies aligned with business goals and growth objectives. Leverage data, industry best practices, and user insights to drive design decisions.

You’ll drive the optimization of our funnels by analyzing user behavior, collaborating and conducting A/B tests, and implementing design changes to improve conversion rates across different touchpoints.

You’ll conduct user research, including user interviews, usability testing, and data analysis, to gain a deep understanding of user needs, motivations, and pain points. Use these insights to inform design decisions and identify opportunities for growth and conversion rate optimization.

Your designs should show a deep understanding of the industry, our competitors, and most meaningfully, empathy for our users. You will think through sophisticated problems and use your design expertise to deliver solutions that provide our users with an outstanding user experience that is elegant, engaging, and functional!

About You:

• Bachelor’s degree in design or a related field
• Portfolio showcasing your design work as well as your design process
• 8+ years of professional design experience
• Demonstrate a user-centered approach to designing software and services
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
• Experience designing responsive websites, mobile apps, and/or living room experiences
• Skilled in design programs like Sketch, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Proficient knowledge and skill in wireframing, prototyping, and UI and interaction design
• Excellent interpersonal skills and an adept collaborator
• Effective storytelling skills and an ability to present design work
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time optimally
• Experience working with design systems, guidelines, and other standard methodologies
• Experience using data to advise in design decisions and business impact
• Capable of owning projects from concept, to building, to delivery into market
• Ability to align stakeholders within technical limitations to deliver good experiences for users as well as business leaders
• Prior experience designing for the online video streaming space

Pluses:

• Experience with software development or coding front-end user experiences
• Experience with prototyping
• Demonstrated excellence with visual design
• Experience with data analysis, user research, and usability testing is highly desirable
• Experience with coding or front-end development and implementation
