Role Overview

We are seeking a talented Associate Designer to join our Intimates division. They will be responsible for follow up, workflow and execution of the design process. The individual in this role will work closely with cross-functional teams as well as vendors to ensure development and presentation deadlines are met.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for marketplace research and interpreting consumer and market needs as they relate to product categories
• Research fabric, color, and design concepts
• Collaborate with designers to provide ideas based on seasonal concepts, fabrication, style, silhouettes, functional features, fit, costs, and final execution feasibility
• Provide technical drawings and CADs to communicate design concepts, including multiple views and detailed sketches as necessary
• Create concept boards to communicate design and color direction to present to accounts
• Initiate sample requests and maintain communication with vendors throughout the entire development process
• Attend fit sessions and collaborate with the Senior Design Director and Technical Designer in reviewing samples

Requirements

• Bachelor’s  Degree in Fashion Design or related field
• 2 - 5 years experience in Intimate apparel focusing on bras
• Passionate, and positive can-do attitude
• Collaborative team player
• Strong understanding of fashion trends and construction
• Knowledge of fabric and trims
• Must be highly proficient in Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Suite, PLM knowledge a plus
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent organizational skills
• This an onsite role, with 5 days in our NJ office
