Executive - Human Resource Business Partnering & Talent Management (Based at Biyagama)
Since we started in 2004, Noyon Lanka is the only knitted lace manufacturer is South Asia that works with global brands to create lace fabric that’s unique, functional in the final garment and of the highest quality.
The role involves preparing a training calendar, implementing talent analytics, facilitating succession management, and ensuring timely completion of assigned responsibilities. It also involves coordinating with Group L&D, designing and coordinating development programs, maintaining intern training plans, and completing final presentations and evaluations for interns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate recruitment process with line managers, HRSS to meet recruitment needs.
- Participate in interviews with business heads, line managers to finalize candidates.
- Negotiate employee contracts with line manager
- Conduct technical assessments (if required) in collaboration with department heads.
- Support employer branding initiatives (e.g., university recruitment, job fairs).
- Liaise with HRSS to arrange new employee equipment, benefits, workstations, transport, etc.
- Assist with onboarding and orientation on Day 1 for new employees.
- Generate and manage Letters of Appointment (LOA) for employees at appropriate work levels.
- Coordinate feedback on probation, extensions, terminations with line managers and communicate decisions.
- Collaborate with HRSS for all employee movements (transfers, resignations, terminations, promotions, etc.).
- Address employee address changes and communicate with transport team.
- Manage employee documents (e.g., NIC, name changes) and archive accordingly.
- Conduct offboarding, exit interviews and provide feedback to management.
- Raise service requests (e.g., for employee changes, transfers) as needed.
- Publish employee announcements (e.g., funeral notices, deaths) via email and notice boards.
- Address salary, benefit queries from employees and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate salary deductions, advances, retroactive payments, and ensure timely system updates.
- Work with line managers to finalize salary revisions, promotions, and benefits updates.
- Coordinate reward payments (e.g., attendance bonuses) and validate criteria for eligibility.
- Assist with salary surveys in collaboration with the group
- Support performance management, career management, and succession planning for departments.
- Identify training & development needs with business unit heads and help prepare the annual L&D budget.
- Assist with Competency Assessment and Individual Development Plans (IDPs) for employees.
- Organize training programs, track success, and ensure training objectives are met.
- Support HR initiatives for Team Leader, Group Leader development and technical ladder assessments.
- Support organizational culture initiatives and monitor progress across departments.
- Assist in developing operational plans for respective departments.
- Execute training plans and support alignment with operational KPIs.
- Monitor and address cultural issues within the company and solve problems creatively.
- Track and resolve employee grievances related to organizational culture in a timely manner.
Knowledge and skills:
- Degree or Professional Qualification in HR 2-4 years’ work experience in similar capacity
- Good Interpersonal Skill and Communication Skills
- Business Acumen, Problem Solving Skills, Strong Research & Analytical Skills
- Proficiency in HR Policies, Labour Laws, and Industry, Customer standards Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
