About the role

We are seeking a skilled Lead Digital Marketing Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, launching, and optimizing digital advertising campaigns across multiple program and product areas. You will work closely with our marketing program managers to create digital ads aligned with campaign goals. You will be responsible for the individual ad strategy, production, and maintenance across multiple platforms, including Google, LinkedIn, and Meta. 

As a Lead Digital Marketing Specialist, a typical day might include the following:  

  • Develop and implement digital advertising strategies based on the company’s business objectives and/or end user need. 

  • Continuously evaluate and optimize ad campaigns. Evaluate data and prepare reports to communicate campaign performance to key objectives. 

  • Represent SEL’s brand and voice to drive digital marketing efforts. 

  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of digital advertising platforms. Stay current in marketing trends, Google updates, changes in algorithms, platform revisions, etc. 

  • Plan, organize, manage, and complete digital marketing initiatives. 

  • Gather necessary key business and user insights and apply strategic planning skills to create a long-term vision for upcoming digital advertising efforts. 

  • Plan and manage multiple and/or large projects. 

  • Demonstrate ownership of processes and procedures related to your assigned discipline. Mentor other staff as needed. 

  • Communicate effectively to influence decisions and/or convey concepts and ideas. Use critical thinking to solve department-level problems. 

  • Devise and implement improvements to best practices, tools, and processes as well as make decisions based on credible metrics and analysis. 

 
This job might be for you if have the following: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field preferred 

  • 6+ years of professional experience in a related field 

  • Strong organization and analytical thinking skills, with ability to translate complex concepts into simple terms 

  • Experience leading digital marketing advertising initiatives from ideation through implementation 

  • Understand budget management 

  • Strong relationship building, communication, and networking skills 

  • Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills 

  • Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities 

  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified in Google Ads, Google Analytics, Meta, Microsoft Ads, LinkedIn Ads 

  • Experience with and/or understanding of Adobe Photoshop, SEO, social media, email, marketing automation (Pardot/Marketing Cloud Account Engagement), lead forms and landing pages 

  • Effective writing/copywriting, editing, reporting and project management skills 

  • Strong understanding of users/consumers and the ability to predict needs by understanding behavior
