The Position

Ventana Medical Systems, Inc. seeks an International Product Manager at its Tucson, AZ location.

Duties: Oversee and drive activities related to launching/promoting new and existing products, including preparing, implementing, and administering international marketing budget, and making business decisions on the project teams and communicating them to the countries. Act as facilitator and integrator across all stake holders to ensure that products are developed and commercially available in scope. Plan and contribute to International Business Team meetings (IBT) with end-to-end responsibility and accountability of the systematic commercial development of product(s) from development, launch preparation, launch execution, on-market support and obsolescence. Provide on-market product support (e.g. complaints / quality issues) and guidance to the every county affiliates across North America, Europe, Middle East and Africa as well as Latin America. Drive the development of marketing tools and activities, including overseeing branding development/evolution process, printing and distribution of publications supporting the product key messages. Develop marketing deliverables for product commercialization, including comprehensive plans for specific product launches. Manage customer requirements and driving product line performance and required specification and quality improvement initiatives. Gather, refine, organize and prioritize product requirements from existing and potential customers across all markets and identify portfolio gaps. Identify new market opportunities based on conducting on-market, customer and competitive data analysis; lead, manage, and monitors product-specific competitor activities and development of actions to address them. Position requires up to 30% fully-reimbursed domestic and international travel.

Education and experience required: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Science, Biotechnology, Business, or Engineering or related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or related position in Laboratory Medicine, Medical Sales, Medical Marketing or Business Development.

Special Requirements: Position requires 3 years of experience with each of the following skills:

  • Developing marketing plans in the pharmaceutical, medical device or biotech industry
  • Translating scientific and clinical data into market schemes
  • Recommending pricing strategies and managing budgets
  • Analyzing global market environment in the pharmaceutical, medical device or biotech industry 
  • Accessing potential opportunities and risks in specific market and segments

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location for this position of Arizona is $164,050 to $213,200. Actual pay within the range will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
