Job Description:

As a Technical Lead (Custom Development), you will play a pivotal role in shaping and enforcing governance for custom development within the ServiceNow platform. You will act as a tactical committee member within the Technical Governance unit, providing expert guidance to scrum teams on ServiceNow’s technical capabilities, with a particular focus on custom development. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with Strategic Committee leaders, led by the Lead Technical Architect, to create governance documents and procedures that ensure adherence to best practices. You will also work closely with functional leads to scope new custom development projects, assist in gathering initial requirements, and provide innovative solutions to meet evolving business demands. This role requires you to lead by example, offering mentorship and training to lead developers and scrum team members on advanced custom development techniques.

Responsibilities:

• Provide governance to scrum teams focusing on custom development guidance.
• Develop governance documents and procedures around ServiceNow custom development.
• Teach and train lead developers and developers on custom development techniques.
• Help solution new demands and gather initial requirements for new custom development efforts.
• Recommend new best practices and work with the Lead Architect to form new governance models.

Here's what you need:

• Strong command of the ServiceNow platform, including App Engine, ATF, Instance Scan, Scope Applications, and the ServiceNow API ecosystem.
• Proficiency in JavaScript
• Experience with tools like ServiceNow Studio, Flow, Workspace, and Portal.
• Expertise in technical debt management, coding best practices, and Agile development methodologies.

Bonus points if you have:

• Advanced ServiceNow scripting techniques, including Glidescript, Gliderecord, and Glideajax.
• Proficiency in coding languages and frameworks like HTML, CSS, React, and ServiceNow MVC architecture

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, and the District of Columbia. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
