Legacy Mount Hood Medical Center is East County’s full-service hospital, always expanding to meet the community’s growing needs and offering an award-winning patient experience delivered with a personal touch. We offer advanced imaging, a modern emergency department, a welcoming family birth center, surgical services, intensive care, cancer care, gastroenterology and more.

Responsibilities

The Patient Safety Attendant participates as a member of the healthcare team by assisting the Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) and RN. This team member will be responsible for ensuring a safe environment for patients requiring direct or indirect observation.

 

This position is an integral part of the team approach to patient care and may be asked to perform various tasks and procedures to contribute to the safe and efficient flow of patients through the department.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • Training or coursework in behavioral health field preferred.

Experience:

  • Two years’ experience in a health care setting preferred. 
  • Acute care experience preferred.

Skills:

  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Keyboard skills and ability to navigate electronic systems applicable to job functions.

Licensure

  •  BLS for Health Care Provider from the American Heart Association required.

Pay Range

USD $17.67 - USD $23.57 /Hr.
