Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Senior Contracts Procurement Agent (Level 5) to join our BCA Supply Chain Contracts & Sourcing Primary Structures - North America team in Everett, Washington.
The selected individual will provide contracting knowledge including, but not limited to, negotiating and driving all aspects of Contracts & Sourcing in support of BCA programs. Primary duties include handling internal and external relationships with suppliers and internal partners, negotiating cost, terms & conditions, and adherence to affordability and financial goals and objectives. The individual will also maintain supplier contracts and statements of work within approved BCA Supply Chain policies and procedures. Some travel may be required for this position. (Approximately 10% domestic and/or international travel may be required).
Position Responsibilities:
Mentors and serves as subject matter expert for the Primary Structures team on proforma, standard policies and procedures, contracting, and negotiation strategies.
Collaborates and consults directly with executive leadership on management of supply base, negotiation strategies, and contract activities.
Advises leadership based on supplier quality, delivery and financial performance.
Drives negotiation teams on pricing and contract terms and conditions.
Develops, integrates and performs negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements.
Interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions.
Subject Matter Expert on relationship management and contracting strategy.
Drives coordination with external customers to resolve supplier performance issues.
Drives supplier performance teams to develop strategic supplier solutions across programs and commodities.
Drives supply chain process improvement teams and identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies.
Owns complex procurement strategies.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
10+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management
10+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Experience in a role that required strong written and oral communication skills
Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
12+ years of experience drafting, negotiating and performing complex contracts and subcontracts
12+ years of experience creating and developing strategy plans
12+ years of experience developing proposals or contracts
10+ years of experience developing and mentoring to procurement process lifecycle
Typical Education/Experience:
Typically 15 or more years’ related work experience or relevant military experience. Advanced degree (e.g. Bachelor, Master, etc.) preferred, but not required.
