Job Description:

Student Assistants will support the daily operations of the department by assisting with administrative tasks and communications. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Providing front desk coverage, greeting visitors, and directing inquiries.
• Assisting with the creation and distribution of the department newsletter.
• Managing and updating the department’s social media pages.
• Providing general administrative support, including organizing files and handling correspondence.
• Assisting with special projects as assigned.
• Triaging and directing questions to the appropriate faculty or staff members.

Expected Salary:

$15 per hour.

Minimum Requirements:

This position is open to all students who are eligible to work on campus and will be employed through student Other Personnel Services (OPS).

Must maintain a minimum 2.0 grade point average.

Registered students are employed on a part-time basis, up to 20 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with social media management and content creation.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Dependability and professionalism in a front-facing role.
