We are currently seeking a motivated Systems Engineer/Analyst to join our team in Dahlgren, VA. This is a Remote position.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Conduct ship checks to document existing compartment arrangements and system configurations.
Provide development and modification of drawing products.
Develop Projected Class Baseline (PCB) drawings to support Ship Installation Drawing (SID) development of multiple ship changes to Amphibious ship classes.
Develop Contract Guidance Drawings (CGDs), which include both room arrangements and system block diagrams.
Perform detailed technical reviews of Ship Installation Drawings (SIDs), Installation Control Drawings (ICDs), Ship Change Documents (SCDs), and Authorization Work Packages (AWP).
Provide technical resolution to identify ship system/integration issues.
Evaluate system-level interface issues and provide recommendations.
Evaluate and provide recommendations to resolve configuration issues and deficiencies.
Minimum Qualifications:
A minimum of six (6) years of experience as either a Fire Control Technician (FC) or Electronic Technician (ET) or five (5) years of experience in the field of Combat Systems ship design or integration is required
Knowledge of Combat System block wiring and line diagrams
Specific experience in one or more of the following areas: Bridge Systems, Navigation Systems, Command and Control (C2), Weapons Systems, Electronic Warfare (EW), Ship Self Defense System (SSDS), or Exterior Communication Systems (Excoms)
Familiarity with ship system design processes (SCDs, ECPs, ECRs)
AutoCAD experience is required
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat & AutoCAD
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field
Recent experience supporting Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) ship integration efforts is a plus
Familiarity with US Navy Amphibious Ships and Ship System Integration
Experience presenting technical information to senior leadership during program reviews
Ability to work independently and to successfully multi-task between numerous concurrent tasks
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Clearance Requirements
United States citizen and an active Secret Clearance.
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a remote environment.
Occasional movement within the office for communication and accessing resources.
Traveling within the continental United States and occasionally to ports located outside of CONUS.
