Our Team

Bloomberg's Global Sustainability Office (GSO) is responsible for the development and execution of Bloomberg's enterprise-wide sustainability strategy, program implementation, and external reporting. The GSO collaborates across the business under a robust governance structure to set comprehensive ESG-related objectives, targets and action plans that drive the business towards its global sustainability commitments.

What’s The Role?

We are seeking a strategic and action-oriented professional to lead and support sustainability initiatives across our operations. This role focuses on integrating sustainability into business practices, aligning with ESG objectives, and driving operational improvements that support our decarbonization and compliance goals.

We’ll trust you to:

• Develop and implement cross-departmental sustainability initiatives across facilities, supply chain, and risk management in support of organizational goals. Lead operational sustainability initiatives from planning through implementation and monitoring.

• Develop compelling business cases for sustainability initiatives that demonstrate alignment with strategic objectives and deliver value by optimizing for both environmental impact and cost efficiency.

• Track and analyze operational performance against sustainability KPIs; refine strategies to improve outcomes. Support development of ESG metrics and contribute to sustainability reporting and disclosures.

• Identify inefficiencies and develop data-driven process improvements. Leverage technology and automation to enhance monitoring and operational excellence.

• Ensure operational compliance with relevant environmental regulations, standards, and internal policies. Stay informed on emerging legislation and update internal practices accordingly.

• Organize training sessions and workshops to build internal capabilities and raise awareness of ESG practices and requirements.

 

You’ll Need to Have

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
