Head of Accounting

You Will 

• Support and deliver monthly reporting results to FP&A partners and Business Leadership, while ensuring timely and accurate month end close (coordinating with internal and external parties) and GAAP compliance, while working closely with external partners
• Assist in monthly financial reports on budget performance and key operating metrics
• Ensure alignment to GAAP for consolidated financial statements ( Experience with ASC 842, ASC 606)
• Support complex business initiatives as the business enters new routes to market
• Manage relationships with external payroll
• Manage the process for the Company’s first audit and partner with leadership on all audit readiness / technical accounting workstreams
• Support our transition to Netsuite

You Have

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• CPA with Big 4 and in-house experience preferred
• 5-7+ years experience in accounting with at least 2 years industry side at a software company 
• Strong interest and experience working GAAP (SEC experience is a bonus)
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, work effectively in a team environment and meet deadlines
• Strong project management, attention to detail, and communication skills (both verbal and written)
• Proficiency in Quickbooks Online and Microsoft/Google suites and Netsuite 

This role is based in New York City and candidates must be within commuting distance from our Brooklyn offices.
