Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Wayfinding Project Manager to join our aviation team! In this role you will be responsible for the design and implementation of the Wayfinding Enhancement Program which updates all digital and static wayfinding throughout the airport. The characteristics of the candidate shall display big picture concept thinker to execute the vision of program, while understanding and managing the nuances of all the details and activations required to execute this effort and rollout to not impact the airport or airline operations. Communication and transparency to the airport and airline leaders is required to ensure alignment with visions and expectations. This person must demonstrate the ability to manage 1000’s of data points that need to be addressed. This position is contingent upon client approval.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Managing the scope, cost, schedule and operational interfaces of all design and construction related activities for the Wayfinding Enhancement Program that covers all areas from landside (parking and roads) to terminal/ concourse/secured side (all passenger facing) to airfield (gating identification) and all supporting IT interfaces.
- Display experience with large stakeholder interface ensuring inclusion, while understanding and driving the small details that go into signage design concepts, installation and activation. The role also requires interface with other customer-facing projects that are all being performed to improve the passenger experience.
- Management of project within budget and schedule constraints while maintaining all necessary scope elements
- Leader in stakeholder engagement to identity, communicate, resolution and accomplishment their needs, while preserving the principles and criteria of the project scope, schedule and budget constraints
- Knowledge in design and construction contracting practices and methodologies
- Knowledge and experience in the project design life cycle from Concept to Project Definition Book to Permit to Bulletins
- Knowledge and experience in the project construction life cycle from Pre-Construction to estimating/buyout to phasing to implementation to Closeout
- Ability to assemble KPI’s and decisions needed for Governance and presentation to others, including the executive staff
- Maintaining an excellent working relationship with the design and construction professionals geared towards open communications and mutual problem solving in the best interest of the project and all other parties involved
- Developing and maintaining a high level of team morale through professionalism that reflects well on the project team, external stakeholders and internal stakeholders
- Primary liaison and airport/owner representative responsible for directing and managing the project
- Responsible for scope development and scope management of the project to meet project goals and objectives
- Develop the RFP and oversee the procurement process for designers and contractors
- Providing direction and management for assigned project and ensuring on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations
- Planning and defining program goals and devising methods to accomplish them; developing in-depth knowledge of owner objectives, contract terms, and airport policies
- Planning, directing, supervising and controlling the execution of all technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project
- Working with team members and airport management to develop budgets, schedules, and plan for the various elements of a project
- Overseeing owner’s staff that manages full project delivery including stake holder interfaces
- Managing project scope to meet or exceed project goals and objectives
- Identify and study options to complex design, operational or constructability issues
- Conduct field surveys and investigations to capture detailed and accurate field conditions. This information shall be used to enable strategic design and construction decisions
- Maintaining documentation on the approved scope of work for the project to include all related agreements, authorizations, reports, drawings and specifications. This documentation shall include narratives for all scopes of work as well as a coordinated CAD representation including all projects for key disciplines
