Pay: $21 - $29/hour (based on shift and/or class)

What to Expect?

This position reports to Maintenance Manager/ Supervisor and is responsible for all maintenance, repair and modifications needed to maintain company’s equipment and support systems in the process of raw and finished goods.  Set up of equipment and working with the production departments to ensure production and efficiencies are met daily.  Mechanic is responsible to ensure equipment runs properly on any lines.  Responsible for the training, repair, removal and installation of machines and equipment, as needed by production.

On a daily basis our Production Maintenance Mechanic:

  • Work safely and professionally with electrical and control power circuits.

  • Troubleshoot all electrical and mechanical issues pertaining to machinery and support equipment in timely and professional manner.

  • Identify and order parts needed for job or repairs through stockroom coordinator.

  • Work with associated and vendors to identify problems with equipment, materials, or processes to rectify production problems through completion.

  • Set up and maintain PM’s.

  • Respond to work and verbal orders.

What You Will Need:

  • Highschool Diploma/ GED or equivalent

  • 3-10 years’ experience in production maintenance

  • Work overtime and shift changes as needed

  • Wire complete circuits and modify as needed.

  • Ability to work with/in a chemical environment using the proper personal protective equipment.

  • Work in a fast paced environment where the noise level is typically loud.

  • Able to lift 50 Ibs.

CLASS C (SETUP Tech) Maintenance Technician Requirements: (or be able to learn):

  • High School Diploma or equivalency required

  • Able to operate all power/ hand tools, equipment safely and efficiently

  • Know and understand basic electrical principals

  • Ability to pass Mask fit test and wear respirator as needed

  • Test/ replace fuses, repair & replace electrical cords and plugs on equipment

  • Be able learn to read and use multi meters, and probes

  • Be able to setup machines and assist production as needed

  • Assist any Class B or A technicians with assigned tasks

  • Keep lines running efficiently, to include Sealers, Lot Coders, Labelers, and Cappers etc.…

  • Be able setup and use scales and to read and understand measurements.

  • Know and understand drill bits, bolt and screw sizes etc.    

  • Attention to detail and Teamwork Orientated     

CLASS A Maintenance Technician Requirements:  

  • 10 years of experience and keeps up with advanced training as needed to do their job correctly

  • Ability to diagnose, repair, and complete a project without any assistance

  • Knowledge of industrial circuits and voltages up to 480v three-phase w/ electrical troubleshooting

  • Be able to test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures

  • Be able to direct the Class B and C technicians to task completion

  • Able to Work overtime.  Hours and shifts are modified to meet the production needs 

  • Understand electrical wiring diagrams, circuits, PLC functions, and programming

  • Above average welding and cutting of different metals and materials such as plastics and composites. 

  • Able to fabricate parts and items from blueprints or drawings, Machining not required.      

  • Able to wire complete circuits and modify as needed. Install, load programs to PLCs from laptops.
