About the role
What are your contributions to the team?
- Encourage and promote a safe work environment by supervising a safety/security program
- Perform supervisory responsibilities such as performance & development management, time keeping, hiring, dismissals and lead/coordinate daily meetings
- Coordinate the completion of all planned and ad-hoc maintenance
- Ensure that work is performed in accordance with Repair Station/Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)
- Monitor housing and facilities safety requirements and report any insufficiency
- Engage with customers regarding Aircraft Maintenance (where required)
- Identify and communicate best practices and champion continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage Database/Reporting to ensure labour efficiency is in line with work order
How to thrive in this role?
- Have (typically) 3 years of experience in performing aircraft heavy/line maintenance and inspection procedures
- Have leadership experience; Aircraft Maintenance preferred
- Possess an A&P certificate or certificated under FAR (part 65)
- Be familiar with aircraft inspection system & procedures
- Be familiar with Environmental, Health & Safety rules and regulations
- Have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Demonstrate effective leadership and coaching skills with the ability to develop people
- Have strong organizational and planning skills
- Possess proficient computer skills
