Shared Services Team Lead
Assurant has an exciting opportunity for a Shared Services Team Lead for our Secured Master Banking room (SMBR) team. The team lead is responsible for training, coaching, and ensuring accurate results of the overall processing team. This is accomplished by working dynamically with management, the team, and supportive units. This role is in office for candidates who work in Springfield, OH. This position also requires overtime as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and monitor daily workflow for Specialists and Sr. Specialists
Be the departmental subject matter expert
Train, develop, and mentor a team of processors
Prepare and complete assigned reports timely and accurately
Track compliance/SLAs
Research, track, and provide feedback of the root cause on claim check handling and quality issues
- Communicate with supportive departments directly on research inquiries, when applicable.
Other duties/projects as assigned
The Shared Services Insurance Team Lead must also be able to support/assist with both DTE work functions and other team duties. The ideal candidate will:
Understand loss drafts forms to allow accurate updating to the client’s database so clients can meet complicated regulatory obligations and to ensure claims are processed accurately
Determine when additional actions, training, and feedback are required based upon information received on a claim
Make timely decisions to ensure mailout checks are completed within SLA’s
Ability to effectively delegate, create an inspiring team environment, and motivate team members with an open communication outlook
Identify process improvements through team feedback, process oversight, and provide suggestions for performance improvement
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
Intermediate computer skills (ability to create and edit spreadsheets/documents, email attachments)
Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize to meet goals as demonstrated in previous position
Demonstrate leadership skills and has ability to interact effectively with clients and associates on more complex issues
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years insurance, banking, finance, mortgage lending, or related experience
Minimum 2 years demonstrated leadership experience
Pay Range:
$20.03 - $33.05Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including candidate background, experience and work location, while also allowing for salary growth within the position.
