Mission:

Operationalize Quantum Security across business effectively and responsibly.  Identify/mitigate risks of the cybersecurity impact of Quantum computing while upholding the highest standards of security, governance, ethics, and innovation. This is in individual contributor with no direct reports.

Job Summary:

This role leverages advanced cybersecurity knowledge to shape company objectives and achieve organizational goals. As a Senior Cybersecurity professional, you will assist principal and expert team members on exciting new projects focused on security impacts from next-generation technologies including Quantum Computing and Artificial Intelligence (AI).  Duties include innovation support, technical project management, post-quantum cryptography, and Quantum and AI risk management. This is an individual contributor position with no direct reports.

As part of the Emerging Technology Product Development team, your responsibilities may include:

  • Understand and apply post-quantum security protocols to protect systems from the cybersecurity threats posed by quantum computing.

  • Facilitate and develop tools and processes to analyze and mitigate security-related threats and vulnerabilities in current cryptographic systems posed by quantum computers. 

  • Create and implement strategies to mitigate risks and protect systems from risks of quantum cyber-attacks.

  • Research emerging technologies in quantum security and evaluate their effectiveness. Develop plans and proposals for trials by collaborating with engineers and product managers to integrate quantum-safe solutions into existing and new cybersecurity products while ensuring compatibility with AI-driven systems.

  • Apply risk-modeling techniques to audit existing systems for quantum security risks and compliance.

  • Work with stakeholders to ensure secure deployment of quantum-safe systems. Foster a culture of innovation.

  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of quantum security principles and best practices.

  • Conduct quantum solution architecture assessments to ensure proper security controls.

  • Develop and implement quantum computing training as well as consult with other business units across the enterprise. 

  • Participate in various standard bodies in which AT&T belongs to promote standardization and interoperability of quantum security best practices. 

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years minimum experience in third-party risk management or risk consulting.

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, information systems, engineering, commerce or cybersecurity preferred

  • Cybersecurity expert with hands on experience implementing security protocols to safeguard systems.

  • ISACA, ISC2 or other relevant certifications preferred.

Desirable skills to help you succeed:

  • Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, information systems, engineering, commerce or cybersecurity desired.

  • Prior experience in telecommunications and/or network infrastructure security is beneficial

  • Ability to guide direct reports and others through change and have a track record of successfully navigating organizational changes.

  • Flexible and creative thinker with strong execution skills.

  • Comfortable managing ambiguity and can anticipate the impact of decisions in order to move from high level concepts to details.

Our Senior Cybersecurity Quantum Risk Management, earns between 116,700 - $145,900 - $175,100 USD Annual, not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
