Lead Landscaping Technician, Exterior Services

At Walmart, we’re looking for a dedicated Lead Landscaping Technician to oversee Facility Services – Exterior Services. As a Lead Technician, you’ll manage a team of exterior service technicians while also performing landscaping and exterior maintenance tasks alongside your team. Your leadership and hands-on expertise will be essential in ensuring the highest standards for Walmart’s exterior spaces, providing a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our customers.

The starting pay for this position is $26 per hour, with potential for increases based on experience, performance, and tenure. In addition to competitive hourly pay, we offer various incentives, performance-based bonuses, and opportunities for growth within the company!

Job Description

• Lead and mentor a team of exterior service technicians, providing training on processes, equipment usage, and safety practices to maintain an injury-free environment
• Oversee landscaping tasks such as mowing, weed management, planting, pruning, and pest/disease control
• Manage irrigation systems, pressure washing, and exterior building/grounds maintenance
• Ensure the team adheres to Walmart’s policies on safety, ethics, and integrity
• Utilize technology (phones, tablets, laptops) for work order management and record-keeping
• Prioritize tasks to ensure efficient and timely service delivery and troubleshoot any issues that arise
• Foster a strong customer service orientation, ensuring all work meets the highest standards of quality and satisfaction

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in commercial landscaping, exterior maintenance, and team leadership
• 2+ years of proven ability to train teams on safety practices, equipment usage, and operational processes for an injury-free environment
• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Valid, state-issued driver's license
• Proficiency in using mobile devices (phones, tablets, laptops) for work order management and record-keeping
• Hands-on experience with landscaping tasks (e.g., mowing, weed management) and specialized equipment
• Knowledge of planting, pruning, and pest/disease control (including chemical applications)
• Experience with irrigation, pressure washing, and general exterior building/grounds maintenance
