Job Description
What you’ll be doing
The Data Applications team is responsible for taking massive amounts of data, received from over 1,500 data contributors, and loading it into our database. With our technical transformation we are moving from the mainframe to an AWS Cloud environment. You will play a critical role in this modernization and will be responsible for full software development and execution in an agile environment. Additional key responsibilities include:
- Work with Cross-Functional teams to program, validate and co-ordinate software releases
- Provide production application support in a 24x7 environment
- Become a subject matter expert in our data load by providing analysis/design, coding, testing and documentation
- Work with System Engineers and Internal Partners on requirements.
- Collaborate design review with cross functional groups; develop schedules, specifications, detail designs, and system procedures to enable on time delivery of defect free software systems
- Provide analysis and coding for complex software assignments
- Interface with both internal as well as external customers
Qualifications
What your background looks like
- C language with database experience required.
- Proficient in object-oriented software/web/API development experience (e.g. Java, Shell, Perl, Ruby, Python, JavaScript). Java is a must.
- Working knowledge of Microservices architecture, No-SQL Databases, and variants of structured query languages
- Working knowledge of SQL, Oracle, DynamoDB, AuroraDB, AWS RedShift, Splunk, Raw data within text, .csv, .xls/.xlsx, JSON, XML files, Jmeter
- Experience in testing enterprise level web applications, web services, databases, ETL processes, and highly scalable eCommerce architectures
- Experience with Agile Dev Methodology, SDLC process, Business Intelligence Processes, Business Operations, Data Analytics
- Ability to build and contribute to Jenkins and AWS CICD pipeline
- Ability to work with source control systems, such as GIT (branching, merging, etc)
- Hands-on experience in Linux and Unix operating systems and shell scripting
- Knowledge of Mainframe environment preferred
- BA/BS or Master’s in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems or related field preferred
- At least 3+ years relevant engineering experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience and education. This position is also eligible for a variable pay opportunity and a comprehensive benefits package which includes health, life and disability insurance, generous paid time off including paid parental and family care leave, an employee stock purchase plan and a 401(k) plan with a company match.
