Anduril is fielding the next generation of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) to tackle the extremely challenging industry demands of seabed exploration. Today, Anduril is executing on multi-million-dollar contracts while simultaneously performing Robot-as-a-Service (RaaS) AUV operations.

We are seeking an Field Operations Manager to join Anduril, working in a cutting-edge start-up environment to advance the state-of-the-possible in subsea robotics.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

    • Manage marine operations team for biz line, including responsibility for overall budget, asset management, prioritization, team structure and development, etc.
    • Manage processes and workflows to ensure consistent and quality operations, including development and advancement of internal training programs
    • Support the generation and maintenance of customer training curriculum on product use, including documentation required to support products (such as user guides, mission planning guides, etc)
    • Work with our business development and project management team to plan, staff, and budget for external projects and contracts
    • Provide constructive and collaborative feedback and inputs into program scoping efforts, product roadmap, tech design efforts, etc.
    • Build a culture of partnership, ownership, trust, and support across programs, engineering, and operations
    • Conduct routine and on-demand headcount planning exercise and coordinate with the Maritime staffing process
    • Overall responsible for all operations of the Dive-LD, supporting program efforts, product development, IRAD efforts, and the Field Operations Team
    • Planning support infrastructure to include overall facilities footprint, support equipment (Cranes, vessels, locations, etc.)
    • Lead teams of Field Test Engineers, AUV operators, and other maritime support personnel
    • Work within a dynamic team of multidisciplinary engineers, surveyors and specialists throughout the life of AUV design, integration, test efforts, customer demos and jobs
    • Lead day-to-day operations for multiple AUV platforms, including conducting pre-mission testing, launch and recovery, vehicle tasking, and data analysis
    • Deploy globally in support of at-sea AUV operations from a variety of support vessel types
    • Contribute to next generation design on all platforms and facilitate testing of new technology
    • Travel and support customer facing operations approximately as required, sometimes for multiple weeks at a time

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Ability to adapt quickly and learn in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
    • 5-10 years of experience leading and/or managing distributed teams
    • Strong background in asset management and logistics, including application of personnel, test assets, etc.
    • Experience managing dynamic priorities and ensuring stakeholder inputs and alignment on planned approach to work execution
    • Extreme comfort being offshore for extended periods of time
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Experience operating and testing complex systems, preferably in a maritime environment
    • Experience integrating subsea acoustic sensors, underwater navigation, and communication systems
    • Demonstrated experience with subsea operational procedures and equipment
    • Proficient in reading and understanding engineering drawings and
