Job Description​

Saint Luke’s Hospital on the plaza is seeking a team oriented nurse who is passionate about working with leading technologies, believes in knowledge sharing, and is motivated by continuous innovation to join their team. This unit performs Therapeutic interventions, pulmonary procedures, pre and post procedural care, Pre Anesthesia Assessments, Endoscopy and other GI procedures beyond upper and lower scopes.

 In this role you will assist with pre and post procedural care, pre anesthesia assessments, and circulate and assist physician during procedures. You will travel to the ICU to perform bedside procedures as needed.

This position is 4 days a week 7AM – 5:30 PM, with on call requirement on a rotating basis.

GI or procedural nursing experience is not required. We are willing to train.

Responsibilities:

• The Registered Nurse in the Digestive Disease/GI Department at Saint Luke's Hospital functions independently and accountable for utilizing the nursing process.
• Coordinates the care for a group of endoscopy and/or bronchoscopy patients with the Multidisciplinary Team.
• Delegates tasks appropriately. Identifies hospital resources.
• Serves as a clinical resource for new employees.
• Demonstrates positive formal or informal leadership within endoscopy unit or department.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross, Registered Nurse - Various
