Clinical Professor (Full-time, Limited Term)

Description
The individual in this position reports to the Chair, Department of Pharmacy: Clinical and Administrative Sciences and is expected to contribute to the teaching and professional service efforts at the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy based in Oklahoma City. This individual is expected to work in a system requiring teamwork and excellent communication skills. This position serves as a model practitioner for pharmacy student instruction.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited school or college of pharmacy
2. A valid and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in Oklahoma and an Oklahoma preceptor license.
3. PGY1 and PGY2 training in appropriate areas of pharmacy practice
DISTINCTIVE CHARACTERISTICS: Excellent written, verbal, and computer skills; established record of development, delivery and assessment of professional program curricula; strong working knowledge of pharmacy practice, and the ability to interact with faculty and healthcare team members in all settings.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. At least 120 months of didactic teaching and pharmacy practice experience (inclusive of residency training)
2. Post-graduate degree(s) in applicable area
3. Board certification in respective practice area(s)
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:
1. (60-70%) Serve as course coordinator and/or instructor for the design, delivery and assessment of didactic and laboratory skills-based courses at any level of the curriculum. Support high-quality precepting of pharmacy students for interprofessional learning activities.
2. (10-20%) Assignment to service activities (e.g. committees, special projects) for the college.
3. (10-20%) Participation in scholarly activities that lead to the generation and dissemination of new knowledge.
