Location: Indianapolis, IN (Hybrid, only Tuesdays) Schedule: Full-Time DayAbout the Team
The Financial Data & Analytics team at IU Health plays a vital role in advancing the organization's mission by delivering strategic financial insights that drive operational excellence and responsible expense management. This dynamic team supports financial services leadership and regional C-suite executives across the system, providing critical analytics that inform high-impact decision making. With deep expertise in SQL, Microsoft Power BI, financial strategy, and business intelligence, the team works end to end to uncover operational inefficiencies and develop innovative solutions to reduce the cost of care for Indiana residents.Key Responsibilities  

• Conduct in-depth data analysis, interpretation, and financial modeling to support sound financial management practices
• Prepare accurate monthly and ad hoc reports, including pro forma statements using historical, comparative, and forecasted data
• Deliver high-quality financial insights to support outcome-driven and impact-based decision making
• Identify, evaluate, and interpret trends and patterns within complex data sets with a high degree of precision

Qualifications & Experience  

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• 2+ years of relevant financial or operational analysis experience, especially with complex data sets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel; experience with relational databases or financial/operational modeling is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively within a team.
• Prior knowledge of healthcare operations, billing cycle and/or applications preferred.
• Experience with SQL and/or Microsoft PowerBI development preferred.
