We're seeking an analytically minded Environmental Project Engineer to join our growing team in either our Bedford, New Hampshire or Boston, Massachusetts office. You'll collaborate with accomplished engineers and scientists on diverse, challenging projects that shape the future of urban environments, with a focus on MCP compliance, environmental due diligence, and contaminated site assessment. Essential Functions – What You Will Do
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical capabilities and a commitment to environmental stewardship. Core responsibilities include:
- Design and execute environmental due diligence assessments following industry best practices
- Lead field investigations for environmental and hydrogeologic projects, including comprehensive soil, groundwater, and soil vapor sampling
- Analyze and interpret complex field and laboratory data using advanced analytical methods
- Develop sophisticated fate and transport models and conceptual site models to evaluate environmental risks
- Prepare technical reports, remedial action plans, regulatory compliance documentation, and cost estimates
- Formulate preliminary conclusions, recommendations, and strategies to address environmental site issues in the context of site development plans
- Observe and document complex construction activities that also involve environmental remediation activities
- Work directly with Licensed Site Professionals on routine and complex MCP sites.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to formulate innovative environmental strategies and remediation solutions

Competencies – What We Are Looking For
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience in environmental engineering projects
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, Geology, or Hydrogeology (Master's degree preferred)
- Working toward a Professional Engineer (PE) license is desired.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Outstanding organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong client service orientation with excellent communication abilities
- Collaborative mindset and proven teamwork capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with collecting soil, groundwater, soil vapor and/or indoor air data
- Experience performing environmental due diligence research, including preparation of Phase I Environmental Site Assessments consistent with ASTM E1527-21.
- Experience with MCP consulting services for urban development projects
- Active OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
- Current Nuclear density gauge certification and DOT HAZMAT training
- Previous experience with public and private sector environmental projects
