Specialized Experience: Applicants must have a minimum of one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 in the Federal service. For this position, specialized experience includes the following: 1) Experience performing at least three or more of the following: Paperwork Reduction and Information Collection, Freedom of Information Act Management, Records Management and File Analysis, Travel Coordination, Space and Planning Management, Calendars and Meeting Planning, Congressional Inquiries, and Unified Agenda. 2) Experience using analytical, investigative, and evaluative techniques to resolve issues and conduct complex studies and projects. 3) Experience interacting with a variety of individuals at all levels of authority. 4) Experience writing a variety of documents such as letters, memorandums, and reports. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
