Job Description

Summary

Senior Engineer to perform Radio Frequency (RF) Over the Air (OTA) Antenna testing on mobile products with technologies such as CDMA, GSM, UMTS, LTE, Wi-Fi, IOT, and 5G, to ensure delivery of testing services that meet client’s requirements in accordance with Global Wireless Forums’ test plans and SGS quality system.

• Test Engineer to perform Radio Frequency (RF) Over the Air (OTA) Antenna testing on mobile products with technologies such as CDMA, GSM, UMTS, LTE, Wi-Fi, IOT, and 5G, to ensure delivery of testing services that meet client’s requirements in accordance with Global Wireless Forums’ test plans and SGS quality system. 
• Perform debug and engineering testing services for wireless clients; use of specified equipment to perform required tests
• Maintain high degree of knowledge of industry test requirements in order to assist customers and test equipment manufactures with issues.
• Responsible for maintaining one or more test platforms, building knowledge on said platforms: updating systems and isolating issues then communicating with test equipment service.
• Work directly with external clients including conference call , Project manager , Key Account managers , and Technical leads in order to ensure the client’s product runs smoothly through the testing process
• Conduct testing in accordance with established procedures, maintaining a high standard of service delivery that ensures effective customer relations.
• Complete all assigned chargeable work within the required timeframes to ensure customer and project staff satisfaction and efficiency of the business.
• Maintaining technical knowledge by learning the requirements of the test plans being asked to execute.
• Ensure completion of all assigned work and relevant documentation in accordance with required procedures and standards to fulfill SGS quality requirements.
• Assist in maintaining ISO17025 accreditation to ensure a high quality of service to clients.
• Test system management, maintenance and calibrations to ensure compliance with the SGS quality system.
• Actively improving the testing service provided by SGS.
• Maintain the laboratory and personal areas to facilitate efficient operations
• Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience 

Required:

• Bachelor’s of Science in Electrical Engineering BSEE, Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering BSCE or equivalent degree or similar technical field. 

AND

• Min 4-7+ years of wireless industry experience as follows:
• RF and antenna theory preferred
• Experience of OTA or RF testing
• A broad level of CDMA/GSM/WCDMA/LTE/5G/mobile wireless knowledge in one or more areas
• Preferred Training as follows:
• KS Q ISO / IEC 17025, KOTICA
• Measurement Uncertainly, KAB
• Conformance Test User Meeting, Rohde & Schwarz
• RSE Test System Training- Test Equipment: R&S CMW500 / Anritsu MT8821C and EMC32 Software Tool
• OTA Test System Training, knowledge in Test Equipment – Anritsu MT8000A, R&S CMX500, EMQUEST Software Tool, Test System and Chamber (AMS-8500 and other ETS chambers), and Test Configuration (FS, HR, HL, BHHR, and BHHL)
• AGPS OTA Training- Test Equipment - Spirent GSS6700, SR3420 / Anritsu MT8821C, EMQUEST Software Tool, and Test System and Chamber (AMS-8923 and other ETS chambers)
• 5G NR Physical Layer, Anritsu

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Language Skills: English/Intermediate required
• Mathematical Skills: Basic/Intermediate/Advanced/Highest level of knowledge required/preferred
• Reasoning Skills/Abilities: Basic/Intermediate/Advanced level required/preferred
• Computer Skills: Provide details, designate a level of expertise required/preferred.
