Job Summary:
Department activities necessary for the organization’s operation, but not limited to, receiving, and delivering supplies to customers on a daily basis. Maintain adequate and accurate inventory supplies and balances, receiving reports and maintain department cleanliness.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Unloads, receives & make deliveries, ensuring product is defect free & paperwork is accurate
- Checks, processes & delivers inventory, orders, equipment, supplies to our customers
- Takes orders with accuracy & efficiency to minimize the amount of deliveries/travel for all Storeroom Clerks
- Respects patient privacy & confidentiality & demonstrates excellent customer service skills throughout all areas of the main campus & offsite locations
- Utilizes functions & information (data) accurately in all hospital software programs, navigating through to help investigate/correct any problems that may arise
- Conducts cycle counts in the department & other sub-inventories/physical inventories in a timely manner to improve accuracy
- Conducts quality control ensuring that all products are not expired or defected in inventories
- Maintains a clean & organized work area for the department as a whole
- Maintains a clean & organized MMH vehicle & reports any supply issues or vehicle malfunction/damage immediately to the Supply Chain Manager
- Continuously & actively participates (including member of Teams) in PI activities & has an awareness of PI measures & outcomes in the department
- Performs duties in an accurate & timely manner
- Participates in MMH community events/promotions, representing the hospital in a positive, professional manner
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong communication & listening skills
- Excellent organizational & multi-tasking skills, detail oriented, able to collaborate/team player
- Must be able to operate a computer, Excel, phone, bar code scanner, copier & automobile
- Understanding of basic math and measurements
Education and Experience:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- 6 months relevant experience, preferably in a purchasing department or healthcare setting
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, push, pull & operate carts/pallet jacks
- Frequent walking, pushing, pulling, standing, reaching, stooping, talking
- Must frequently be able to lift over 25 lbs, 50 lbs on occasion, and up to 75 lbs
